Every calving season we are excited to see the progeny hit the ground but after adding three sires to our herd last year, the start of this season has been somewhat special. Prime Juggernaut J15 has certainly stamped his authority and without needing to glance at the mating book we know the pitch black, silky, soft skinned calves are his. Their birth weights are average and each one oozes plenty of style. We look forward to seeing these easy fleshing calves grow.
The carcase trait bull that he is, Alpine High Octane has conveyed this straight into his calves. They are some of the thickest we’ve dropped and despite being some of the youngest they have impressive butt profiles, plenty of length and extreme depth to them. They ought to have the extra doing ability we are looking for.
We have a smaller number of Alpine High Flyer calves grazing the paddocks and like the Juggernauts they’re your soft skinned, easy doing types. With heaps of length on them we look forward to breeding females from this bull.
